We start with where your child actually is, in both their reading and their writing, then build from there. Their teacher models how to structure a strong answer, unpicks texts so analysis feels doable rather than mysterious, and drills the exam technique that turns good ideas into marks. Do you cover English Language and Literature?
Our GCSE group sessions focus on English Language, because schools set very different Literature texts, and Language is the grade colleges and sixth forms look at for entry. We are happy to support English Literature too, on a one to one basis. At KS2, KS3 and A Level we cover the full English curriculum.
Can you help a reluctant reader or writer?
Yes. Many of the children we work with have decided they are not good at English. We start by rebuilding confidence with achievable steps, then grow the reading and writing skills from there, so progress feels possible rather than overwhelming.
Which exam boards do you cover?
We cover all the main GCSE English Language boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas. Tell us your child's school and board and we will match the teaching to it.
Do you offer online English tuition?
Yes. We teach English online through our secure online classroom, with the same qualified teachers as our in person sessions. It is ideal for families outside Nottingham or with busy schedules.
