Why A Level group teaching works
At A Level, the content is rarely the whole problem. Students lose marks on technique: how a question is read, how working is set out, how a long answer is structured. Our groups spend real time on that, alongside worked problems the teacher takes apart step by step on the board.
With the group capped at 10, it stays small enough to ask the question you would never ask in a class of thirty, and to hear the questions other students ask too. That is often where the real understanding lands.

A Level questions, answered
How much does A Level tuition cost?
Our A Level groups are £35 per session, each running for an hour every week, with the group capped at 10. One to one A Level support is available from £70 an hour where a student needs something more tailored. Your first group session is free, so you can try it before committing.
Are the A Level groups taught by qualified teachers?
Yes. Every A Level group is led by a qualified teacher with A Level classroom experience in that subject, and every one holds an enhanced DBS check. They know the specifications and the mark schemes because they have taught and marked them, not just studied them.
Are the sessions online or in person?
All four A Level groups are taught live on Bobbin, our online classroom. There is nothing to install: students join with one link, either from their TutorCruncher dashboard or from the email we send an hour before each session. Students join from a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone. Sessions have live video and audio, and notes from the session stay available to look back on afterwards. Sessions are always live and interactive, never pre recorded, with an online whiteboard for working through problems together with the teacher. For safeguarding, online lessons are also recorded and shared only with the student and Rose Tuition.
What if the group is not viable when it is due to start?
If numbers mean a group cannot run well at its intended start, we will ring you and talk it through properly. We will offer an alternative time, a different format, or a full refund, whichever suits your family. You will never be left waiting or out of pocket.
What if you do not run the A Level subject we need?
We run four A Level groups, and we can match many more subjects one to one from our vetted network of qualified teachers. Tell us the subject and the exam board at your free consultation, and we will be honest about whether we can find the right person.
